IB Math SL AA

EduIB's IB SL Math Analysis and Approaches course includes access to a comprehensive question bank, covering a variety of topics and question types. The question bank provides students with ample opportunities to practice and reinforce their understanding of mathematical concepts, helping them to develop their problem-solving, mathematical modeling, and abstract reasoning skills. This course is an ideal choice for students interested in pursuing further study in mathematics or related fields.

IB Mathematics Applications and Interpretation SL addresses the needs of students aiming to develop a strong understanding of mathematics, particularly emphasizing its practical applications. Geared towards those who may have encountered difficulties with traditional math courses, it resonates with individuals who achieve in employing mathematical concepts in real-world scenarios. Students should expect to develop insight into mathematical form and structure and should be intellectually equipped to appreciate the links between concepts in different topic areas.  Ideal for students envisioning future studies in fields like biology, human sciences, and business, this course equips them with the mathematical tools relevant to these domains. Topics covered in course are;

Number and Algebra – Functions - Geometry and Trigonometry  - Statistics and Probability - Calculus

Assessment of Course

Lessons are covered lecturing, search study, quizzes and exams. At the end of Diploma Program, all IB Mathematics AA SL  students are assessed through IB DP Mathematic Exam. Exam is consisting of 2 papers.

Paper 1 is a two-hour session, and students are not allowed to use calculator. Questions emphasize algebraic manipulation, inquiry, reasoning, and interpretation rooted in conceptual comprehension.

Paper 2 is also two-hour session. In this session students may use calculator. Consequently, it places a stronger emphasis on utilizing technology to delve into mathematical quandaries, employing inquiry, reasoning, and interpretation derived from these methodologies and discoveries.

Paper 3, a one-hour assessment, comprises two extended response questions that delve deeply into Analysis SL topics. Notably, Paper 3 accentuates reasoning and inquiry to a greater degree compared to Paper 1 and Paper 2.

In addition to IB DP exams all Mathematics AA SL students is required to complete an Internal Assessment. This assessment includes writing a scientific paper, approximately 10-15 pages in length which may varies by subject and level, centered around a self-generated question

Many schools submit Mathematics AA SL students several mock exams before IB Diploma Program exams. You may find several mock exams in our website. There are two types of Mock exams in EduIB. One type of mock exam comprise only one topic. The other type of mock exam involve questions from first topic up to topic covered.
